Cruise ships can find their way into Haiti, but apparently food, water and emergency supplies can not:
Meanwhile, Wall Street is set to pay a record $145 billion in bonuses a year after being bailed out by American taxpayers to the tune of $2.5 trillion. Haiti's annual GDP is around $7 billion and half of its 10 million inhabitants live off of a dollar a day. In modern America (and this world in general), money is served like God while human neighbors in dire need are left to suffer and die. What makes Wall Street's financial elite, and Americans in general, believe they won't be held to account by their Creator for such egregious violations of the Golden Rule?
On the last day, Jesus will say to those on His right hand, "Come, enter the Kingdom. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was sick and you visited me." Then Jesus will turn to those on His left hand and say, "Depart from me because I was hungry and you did not feed me, I was thirsty and you did not give me to drink, I was sick and you did not visit me." These will ask Him, "When did we see You hungry, or thirsty or sick and did not come to Your help?" And Jesus will answer them, "Whatever you neglected to do unto one of these least of these, you neglected to do unto Me!" (source)
